Lead from the very beginning.

This isn't just another Team Leader role.

It's an opportunity to become one of the founding leaders of a brand-new Childbase Partnership nursery, helping shape an exceptional environment where children, families and colleagues can flourish from day one.

As our Room-Based Team Leader, you'll do more than lead a room, you'll help build a culture. From welcoming our very first children and families to mentoring your team and embedding outstanding early years practice, you'll play a key role in creating a nursery that will become the heart of its local community.

If you've been waiting for the opportunity to lead, inspire and leave your mark on a brand-new nursery, this is your chance.

Why join Childbase Partnership?

We've been delivering childcare excellence since 1989. Across our 44 day nurseries, Head Office and Training Academy, EduBase, our ethos is simple: we all belong, we all matter, and we all contribute.

We don't just offer jobs, we build careers.

Here's what you can look forward to:

Generous annual leave – 23 days' annual leave (pro-rata), rising to 28 days with service, plus paid bank holidays.

Work-life balance – Choose a 4 or 5 day working week and earn up to 20 additional paid Partnership Reward Days every year. Take them as leave or sell them back tax-free.

Childcare discount – 75% discount on childcare (or 40% grandparent discount) from your very first day.

Exclusive partner benefits – Long-service rewards, qualification bonuses and discounts with leading retailers.

Wellbeing support – Free meals, mental health support, occupational health, eye care vouchers, flu vaccinations and a free will-writing service.

Career development – Access to apprenticeships, online learning and ongoing development through our award-winning Training Academy, EduBase.

We're committed to a greener future - Every Childbase nursery holds a Green Flag Award and is powered by 100% renewable electricity.

About you

You're an experienced Early Years professional who loves inspiring others as much as supporting children to thrive.

You'll bring:

  • A DfE-approved Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting, with the confidence to lead a room and support the development of others.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS, creating engaging, child-led learning experiences and acting as an outstanding Key Person.
  • The ability to coach, motivate and empower colleagues, creating a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, building trusted relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and delivering exceptional outcomes for every child.

Be part of something from day one.

Brand-new nurseries don't come along often.

This is your opportunity to help build a nursery from the ground up, inspire a team, shape outstanding practice and create an environment where children receive the very best start in life.

The relationships you build, the culture you create and the standards you set will help define this nursery for years to come.

If you're looking for more than your next leadership role and want to help create something truly special, we'd love to hear from you.

We are an inclusive employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We're committed to FREDIE (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement) and will make any reasonable adjustments needed throughout the recruitment process.

Applicants must live within a commutable distance of the nursery and have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Safer recruitment is central to everything we do. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and all appropriate pre-employment checks.
