This is a first for the Early Years Sector.
You will join us as a Nursery Practitioner (qualified) at our Cedars Day Nursery in Leighton Buzzard, primarily to provide learning support. Your role will involve working closely with, and under the direction of, the setting’s SENDCO, and will include:
- Working directly with one or more children with SEND, to support their individual learning and development, in-line with any care plans that are in place for them.
- Working with a wider group of children to cover the responsibilities of their Key Person, thus enabling the Key Person the opportunity to work with specific children on a one-one basis.
This role is part-time basis and you will work 15 hours a week, all-year-round. Your shifts will fall between the hours of 09:00am-12:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
We are seeking a very special person to join us in this learning support role. Someone who:
- Is naturally nurturing, caring and compassionate to others.
- Has some experience of caring for children under five who live with SEND; ideally your experience will be from within a nursery environment.
- Can be a positive role model to the children in their care, effectively meeting individual children’s developmental and care needs.
- Enjoys contributing within a busy, team environment.
We are offering an hourly pay rate of:
- £12.96-£13.60 if you’re early years qualified to level 6 or above.
- £12.00-£13.60 if you’re qualified to level 3, 4 or 5.
- £11.88 if you’re qualified to level 2.
