Help us make technology work smarter
At Childbase Partnership, we're passionate about making a positive difference, not just for the children and families we support, but for the colleagues who make it all possible.
We're always looking for ways to work smarter, improve our processes and make the most of the technology available to us. That's why we're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Microsoft Integration & Automation Developer to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in how we develop and connect our technology, helping us simplify processes, improve efficiency and create solutions that make a genuine difference across our business.
If you enjoy solving problems, bringing systems together and turning ideas into practical solutions, we'd love to hear from you!
What will you be doing?
No two days will be quite the same! You'll work across our Microsoft technology environment, supporting existing systems while developing new integrations, automations and solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining Azure Logic Apps to connect our business systems.
- Building integrations using REST APIs, webhooks and Microsoft connectors.
- Supporting our Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse environment, including data pipelines and transformation.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI data models, backend processes and integrations.
- Creating automated workflows using Power Automate to make everyday tasks easier.
- Developing and enhancing SharePoint Online, including document libraries, permissions and workflows.
- Connecting Microsoft applications with our wider business systems.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual administration and improve efficiency.
- Exploring how Microsoft Copilot and AI can support smarter ways of working.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring our integrations and automations remain reliable and secure.
- Working closely with colleagues across Childbase to understand their challenges and develop practical solutions.
What are we looking for?
We're not expecting you to know absolutely everything! What's important is that you have a strong technical foundation, enjoy learning and can confidently work across different Microsoft technologies.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience developing solutions within Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Logic Apps.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate.
- A good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and system integrations.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform or similar data technologies.
- Knowledge of Power BI data architecture and backend development.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online.
- An understanding of authentication, security and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Git or other source control tools.
- The ability to explain technical information clearly to colleagues who may not have a technical background.
It would also be great if you have experience with Power Apps, Dataverse, Azure Functions, SQL, Microsoft Graph, Azure DevOps or Microsoft Copilot, but these aren't essential.
A little more about you
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys a challenge and takes pride in finding solutions that really work.
You'll be someone who:
- Enjoys getting to the heart of a problem and finding a better way of doing things.
- Is comfortable working independently and collaborating with different teams.
- Can turn complex technical requirements into straightforward, practical solutions.
- Understands the importance of security, reliability and good documentation.
- Is organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities.
- Is excited by the opportunities that automation and AI can bring to a growing organisation.
