Now is your chance! We have an opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at our Sandfield Day Nursery in Headington on a Part time basis working 25 hours per week 10am-6pm Monday to Friday. We are offering a pay rate of £9.50-£9.61 per hour for this role.
Main Responsibility
- Following the direction of the Cook you will prepare raw ingredients in-line with the set breakfast, lunch and tea menus, which promote healthy eating for our children
- You will contribute towards maintaining a clean, tidy, hygienic kitchen environment. You will adhere to COSHH guidelines and Food Hygiene standards at all times, ensuring ingredients and cleaning chemicals are used and stored appropriately and safely
- In the Cook's absence, you will step up to resume responsibility for all food preparation and cooking
- You will respectfully engage with colleagues, our Health, Safety and Environments team, and external professionals, including the Food Standards Agency, in order to successfully work in partnership to uphold children's well-being and to maintain a 5 star rating

Your previous experience working within a professional kitchen environment lends well to your success in this role. You enjoy working as part of a team and your proactive, helpful approach, alongside your awareness of Food Hygiene standards, makes you the perfect candidate.
